Q: How do I apply for Utility Services?
A: To Apply for Utility Services, fill out the Utility Contract Form (download and print) and take it to the City Offices at 275 West Main Street. Office hours are listed below. A deposit of $200 is required and a photo ID.
Q: My house is vacant, why am I still getting a bill?
A: Base rates are billed regardless of usage or occupancy. Having your garbage can removed is the only way to further reduce bills. Contact the City at (801) 754-3211 and they can assist you with removal.
Q: What are the current base rates?
A: Rates change frequently. Visit the Fee Schedule for the most current information.
Q: My meter lid hasn’t been moved in a long time; how is my usage being estimated?
A: Due to advancements in technology, meter readings are now transmitted electronically. Reading devices simply need to be in the area to collect the readings
Q: If the 20th falls on a Saturday or Sunday, do I have until Monday to pay without being charged penalty?
A: Yes, Utility bills are due on the 20th of each month. If the 20th falls on a Saturday, Sunday, or a City observed holiday, payments will be accepted until 4:30 PM the next business day. Please note that payments can be made online 24/7.
