Building & Safety Division

The Santaquin City Building and Safety Division is in charge of making sure all building and infrastructure projects meet health, safety, International Building Code, and City Code requirements. This department reviews residential, commercial and infrastructure plans, issues permits, and performs inspections. 

 

Current Development Projects

Subdivisions

  • Summit Ridge Development was annexed in 2002 at the south end of Santaquin. Plans include over 3500 residential homes ranging from high-density multi-family to estate lots. So far, almost 700 lots have been planted. Over 1 Million square feet of retail, office, and light manufacturing type uses are planned near the future commuter rail station. Primary builders working in this development include Salisbury Homes, DR Horton, Arrive Homes, Ivory Homes, and several custom home builders.
  • North Orchards was annexed in 2004 at the north end of Santaquin. Originally planned to have over 1500 residential homes. A new elementary school opened in the fall of 2018, and the area is expected to include a future High School.  Primary builders working in this development include Sierra Homes and other semi-custom home builders. 
  • Foothill Village was annexed in 2004 near the southeast end of Santaquin. This development will have over 400 homes when completed. The primary builders for this development are Salisbury Homes and DR Horton.
