Notice for Letters of Interest

NOTICE

The Mayor of Santaquin City is now accepting “Letters of Interest” from those interested in filling a Planning Commission vacancy(ies).  “Letters of Interest” may be submitted either by mail or in person to 275 West Main, Santaquin, UT 84655. Letters may also be emailed to the Deputy City Recorder, Kira Petersen at kpetersen@santaquin.org and will be accepted until 5:00 pm on Monday, November 29, 2021.

Selection of Members:

Qualifications: Each member of the planning commission shall:

1. Be a resident of the city of Santaquin City.
2. Have maintained permanent residency in the city of Santaquin for the immediately preceding (6) months prior to appointment.

Purpose:

The Planning Commission advises the city council regarding legislative matters as more specifically set forth herein in Title 10 and 19 of the Santaquin City Codes. The planning commission also makes a recommendations to the legislative body for:

1. Amendments to the general plan;
2. Land use ordinances, zoning, official maps, and amendments;
3. New subdivision developments.
