Councilmember Art Adcock
I was raised in southern Florida. After I graduated from BYU in 1981, Sherry and I moved to Santaquin. We have 5 children, 25 grandchildren and 1 great grandson due in June of 2022. I served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. I also served in the Utah Army National Guard for 6 years. I have previous experience on the City Council, as well as the Planning Commission, where I am currently serving. I retired as a Sergeant from the Utah County Sheriff’s Office after a 23-year career. I love all the friends I have in Santaquin, along with the great environment, mountains, and change of seasons. I strongly believe in fiscal responsibility and maintaining a balanced budget. Growth is inevitable; therefore, it must be managed properly. Our agricultural heritage is what makes Santaquin unique and wonderful. It must be protected, while also protecting state mandated individual property rights. I am experienced, well organized, and a dedicated hard worker.
