April 2022 Employee of the Month - Shauna Jo Eves

Shauna Jo Eves is a Recreation Supervisor with our Community Services Department. She has been employed with the city for just over a year but has over 20 years of experience planning and implementing community events and programs. 17 of those years were spent with Unita County. In the short time that she has been employed by Santaquin City she has already shared her talents in multiple areas. She has assisted the Senior programs with the development of fitness classes and field trips. She has implemented youth and adult art classes including rock art painting.  She also developed an active youth summer program called Summer Passport Program that had a great turnout last year and she has expanded community events by offering Halloween Trunk or Treat, expanding Santaquin Holly Days and planning the first Santaquin Art Festival that will be offered in May 2022.

Shauna Jo has made friends easily in her department and her fellow employees know they can depend on her and they appreciate the vast knowledge and experience she has in community events and programs.

Shauna Jo is a mother to two boys. She graduated from Springville High School and received her bachelor’s degree in Education in Parks and Recreation from USU. She also served as a missionary for her church in the Littlerock Arkansas mission.

In her free time, she enjoys camping, art crafts, pickleball, and riding bikes. She shared that she finds her work very rewarding and that she absolutely loves her job with Santaquin City.
