Every other month a worthy employee of our city is recognized as an outstanding employee. It is an honor to work for the city and there are many employees who go above and beyond their duties to make our city great.
Jared Shepherd is our December 2022 Employee of the Month. He started working in Santaquin City’s Community Development department in 2007 as an infrastructure inspector. Before working for Santaquin City, he worked for Spanish Fork Community Cable Network.
It is an honor to recognize Corporal Bill Hooser as our October Employee of the Month. Bill has been with the Santaquin City Police Department for the past five years. He started his law enforcement career in New Mexico in 2015 after graduating from the New Mexico Law Enforcement Academy. He served for two years with the San Juan County Sheriff’s Department in New Mexico as a deputy sheriff, then had the opportunity to take a position at the Santaquin Police Department.
Brayden is a paramedic and firefighter with Santaquin City and has been with the city for almost three years. He was given the task of learning the department’s report writing system, Imagetrend, and has excelled at it. According to our Fire Chief Ryan Lind, Brayden is an amazing paramedic firefighter, and the department is better off for his dedicated work.
Braden has worked for the city for about 1 1/2 years and has been a great benefit to our public works department and to Santaquin City. He has picked up on the meter reading system and is constantly learning new skills that will help the department and our city in the future. Last fall, Braden was driving down 100 North on his day off and noticed water in the road. After investigating, he found a broken pipe in a sprinkler system. Not only was the water running down the street, but it had also started filling up the window well at the resident’s home.
Shauna Jo Eves is a Recreation Supervisor with our Community Services Department. She has been employed with the city for just over a year but has over 20 years of experience planning and implementing community events and programs. 17 of those years were spent with Unita County. In the short time that she has been employed by Santaquin City she has already shared her talents in multiple areas. She has assisted the Senior programs with the development of fitness classes and field trips.
Jon Lundell is our February 2022 Employee of the Month. He is being recognized for the exceptional work he does as our Santaquin City Engineer as he leads the city’s Engineering Department.
