March 2022 Volunteer of the Month - Willy Marvin
Willy Marvin is being recognized as our March 2022 Volunteer of the Month for the numberless hours he has donated in coaching our city’s youth sports programs. He regularly coaches several of our leagues, often coaching multiple age groups in the same season. He has head coached, or assistant coached, teams in Jr. Jazz Basketball, Baseball, T-Ball, and Flag Football. His teams learn and improve skills quickly and are well prepared for games. Willy gets great reviews from his team’s parents, and players consistently ask for him to be their coach. He also provides an important voice in developing our sports programs as an interested stakeholder.
Willy and his family have lived in Santaquin since 2004. He is married to Lacey and they have four boys ranging in age from 5 to 14. He is an electrician by trade and has worked for Barnes Electric since 2009. He was born in Santaquin, graduated from High School in Spanish Fork and finished his education at MATC. He enjoys anything outdoors, such as camping, hunting, fishing, and sporting events.
Our recreation department sincerely appreciates the good influence Willy has on the youth of our community. He is a great coach and extremely deserving of this volunteer of the month recognition.
