Library Usage Guidelines
Public Internet Computers:
- Computer use is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
- You must obtain a PIN number at the circulation desk.
- The Internet is filtered for pornographic materials and certain social sites but if you are observed trying to access such sites or materials you will be asked to leave.
- Copies are 10 cents per page and will be released to the printer by the staff at the circulation desks. Copies must be collected before a computer session finishes or they will be lost.
- Use of personal flash drives is permitted and recommended if you plan to save any work.
- Microsoft Word, Excel, And PowerPoint are available on all computers.
Wireless Internet
- Wireless access is available for people who wish to use their personal laptops and is free of charge with no time limit.

Borrowing Library Materials
- A library card must be presented at the Circulation Desk to borrow library materials.
- Library cardholders may borrow a maximum of five DVDs at any given time.
- Library materials cannot be checked out on another person’s card without that card being present.
Checkout Period
- Library books, audiobooks, and DVDs check out for two weeks.
- No limit on books. Limit 5 DVDs per card.
- Kindles check out for two weeks with no renewal. Item must be handed to library staff. Limit 1 per card.
Most items may be renewed once, provided there is not a request o that item. To renew items use your online account, call 801-754-3030, or take them to the library circulation desk.
Fines and Fees
- Library cardholders are responsible for all overdue, damaged, and lost item fines.
- Fines for lost or damaged items are the replacement cost of the item.
- Book damages are assessed at $1.00 per page to the price of the book and audiobooks $3.00 per disc or full set price if discs are not available for replacement from the publisher.
- Overdue fines for books, audiobooks, and DVDs are 10¢ per day. Kindles' fines are $1.00 per day. Damages to the device may result in replacement costs.

Placing Holds
- Library cardholders may request library materials by contacting the library or placing a hold on their online account. Questions: 801-754-030.
Returning Library Materials
- Books may be returned to the Library book drops.
- All media, including DVDs, audiobooks and Kindles must be handed to library staff. If returned in the book drops they will be subject to a $5 fine per item plus any damages incurred.
